Below are some foods to consume the first week after the detoxification program:
1. Start your day with a glass of water, preferably hot lemon water and drink a lot of water during the day.
2. Fresh fruits. They will provide the body with important nutrients that can help in the detoxification process and at the same time they are easily digestible.
3. Non-dairy shakes/smoothies with tofu and spirulina. Tofu and spirulina are sources of protein and will satisfy your hunger.
3. Mixed vegetables, stir-fried or steam-fried in olive oil with very little salt. Try also raw vegetable with tomato sauce and dried basil dip.
4. Brown rice and whole grains (but not the first day after the detoxification). Combine them with vegetables.
5. Berries. They contain important anti-oxidants and are high in vitamin C that provides an important support for the detoxification process.
6. Vegetable soups. Try tomato soup with celery, green pepper, carrots and dried basil with a pinch of paprika mild.
7. Vegetables salads; for example, a salad with green leafy vegetables, olive oil and lemon juice.
8. Guacamole. Mix mashed ripe avocado with tomatoes, lemon juice, a finely chopped red onion and a little bit of salt and paprika to taste.
9. Legumes. For example, soak kidney beans overnight, add water, bring it to a boiling point, discard the water, add hot water and let it boil on low heat till ready. You can make a soup by adding fresh, finely chopped coriander, white onions and salt to taste or drain the water and make a salad with beans, fresh, finely chopped coriander, sunflower or canola oil and red onions.
